Congratulations to Senior Abby Anderson, who became the first Springdale High School female student to ever attend and graduate from the American Legion Auxiliary Girls' State Program this past June. The program teaches leadership, government workings, and is a stepping stone to scholarship opportunities and a military academy appointment, if pursued. With the Legion in Springdale not having an auxiliary, this instance was very rare for Abby to be sponsored by the post (American Legion Post 764).
