The Allegheny Valley School District is accepting applications for a full-time (10 month standard school year) cafeteria site manager for Springdale Jr-Sr High School starting with the 2026-2027 school year. Position will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with USDA nutrition standards and reimbursable meal compliance. Responsible for all aspects of production and food service for a cafeteria serving grades 7 through 12. Site manager should demonstrate an understanding of the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program, including regulations, reporting, and meal pattern requirements. Preferred qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, school cafeteria or food service management experience, and ServSafe food safety certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Plan ordering, receiving, and storing of food and supplies. Possess culinary skills that include, but are not limited to, the preparation, cooking, baking and serving of meals. Maintain production records, inventory, and financial reports.
- Staff Supervision: Train, instruct, and evaluate cafeteria staff on efficient operations and compliance with policies.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to Allegheny County Health Department regulations and ensure cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment.
- Customer Service: Promote healthy menu selections to provide high quality, safe, and nutritious meals for students and staff.
